prev |  | Near the Zeeland bridge which connects North-Beveland with the northern most part of the province of Zeeland, Schouwen-Duivenland lies Colijnsplaat. Built in 1598, with its location on the Oosterschelde, Colijnsplaat has served as a harbor for many years. Originally, Colijnsplaat was a center for the transportation of agriculture products, but beginning in 1961 it has also served as a fishing port and has the largest volume of shrimp traffic in the Netherlands.
